HOW DOES RED VEIN TREATMENT WORK?

Red veins can be treated by both IPL and laser. This advanced technology emits a light that passes down through the skin, targeting the blood vessels and causing them to break down. With the vessel being beyond repair, the body breaks them down and disperses them throughout the lymphatic system. This process can take up to 2-3 weeks.

Is the treatment painful?

During the treatment, you’ll feel a short burst of heat as the light targets the vascular lesions.

What are Thread Veins?

Thread Veins are tiny blood vessels that run very close to the surface of the skin and are usually blue or red in colour. Often called Spider Veins due to their appearance, they are fine capillary veins which normally develop as a consequence of age or some kind trauma to the skin. They also appear quite commonly after pregnancy for example.

With our Fotona laser we are seeing on average 1-3 treatments are required for treatments on the face and around 6 treatments for treatments on the legs.

How often would I need to leavebetween Treatment.

We recommend leaving 8 weeks in between treatments on the face and 8-12 weeks for treatments carried out on the legs.
